The light and bright handmade glassworks by artist Kate Civiero are a beautiful example of art meeting function. In this geometric series, Kate combines vibrant colours and fluid shapes. Each one unique, carefully considered yet balanced with a sense of spontaneity and fun. Civiero's work is exhibited internationally, she works from her new studio in Markdale, Ontario.
SOPHIA CLAY ART
Ceramic Artist, Sophia Kim’s rustic birch technique is inspired by the Canadian landscape and her obsession with the texture of trees; birch, pine and cedar. Kim explored different facets of working with clay at Emily Carr University, and speaks about the mediative qualities of her process, “I have to centre myself, before I can centre the clay.” Kim creates from her Vancouver based studio, and has established an international reputation for her work.
